It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Steve's online game store increased it inventory this year by lining up another distributor, which is great! But there is a downside, more orders.  We can tell that people are choosing wisely and early what they are giving (or getting) for Christmas this year by the volume of orders Steve is processing daily.

That's a good thing and a bad thing.  Good because, well that's obvious, bad because he already has a full time job and a family.  There still is time to get your Christmas order in, but hurry, supplies are limited and who knows when Steve will drop from pure exhaustion.

Soccer's Final End...For Now

Mike has finally played his last game of soccer for the season.  By one lousy goal they were kept from the championship game.  It was a tough loss, but the team hung tough and Mike played an excellent game.

A funny incident happened the morning of the last games.  Doreen had told the boys one last shot on goal and then to gather by the bench for the start of the game.  As she was standing by the goal posts one of her biggest kickers kicked the ball and it hit her square on the head.  Down she went.  She was out cold.  The force broke her sunglasses and gave her a bit of a woozy feeling.  Her record still is unbroken; she has to faint at least once during every soccer tournament.

Five year update

Here is a little health update since it has been five years since I was in a horrific auto accident.  The pain in my neck and upper back has almost disappeared. it takes a lot of activity to make it hurt. I'm in the process of strengthening it by daily visits to the gym during seminary and in the afternoon as the kids and I go swimming. The one lingering problem is shoulder pain.  We are in the process of investigating (an MRI with some funky dye is scheduled for later) if there might be a burn spur or some impingement in the shoulder joint itself and if it was overshadowed by the neck and back pain for the past four and a half years.  But I'm down to just two therapy appointments a month. I am very thankful for the blessing of life and health and to live in an area where medical attention is so specialized and complete.
