Brazil
My husband spent 2 years on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saint back in the mid 80's and took me there in 1995 for a two week
vacation. We have used these two visits to Brazil as our main lesson with
tons of other reading and supplemental activities.
During the 2006-7 school year our
children went on a trip around the world and got their passports stamped.

 | Flapbooks (aka lapbooks). We did this unit in the winter of 2002, just before
Christmas. Because Christmas we like to "take a break" and because I was
in a very serious auto accident, we decided that we were going to try our hand
at flapbooks. (We have changed the name from lapbooks to flapbooks because
that is what they are a book full of flaps.) Here are some
pictures. |
