The Bay State

One could argue that the United States got it start in the Massachusetts Bay.  One of the most populous state in New England is one of the most "educated" in that Harvard and MIT call it home.  Massachusetts is home to many of the great founding fathers of America.

Please see The Revolutionary War for more links and books.
