Biographical Information

As a mother of seven children (and grandmother of eleven) Carolyn has been involved in her community, managed a business and raised responsible children.  She was chair and president of numerous community organizations, including Chamber of Commerce President and the creator of a non-profit organization for helping difficult-to-employ people.  Carolyn home schooled her last two children.

She is an adult educator who has spent the past 20 years teaching people how to get and keep jobs, as well as how to give better customer service and other workforce topics.  In her capacity as manager and educator, she has seen that many of today’s employees are not ready for working in the real world.  Miller now provides a program for employees called “Workplace Success”.  In this workshop she teaches people the 4 areas of expertise that every business is looking for.

Class Title

Your Mother Doesn’t Work Here…

Building the Workplace of Tomorrow at Home

Today’s employers are begging schools to teach children important workplace traits that will make them successful.  There is a tremendous shortage of people with these traits. These fall into four categories:

·        Interpersonal Skills

·        Initiative

·        Ethics

·        Professionalism

A home school is the ideal place to teach children these important skills so that they can be more successful as they leave home.  Carolyn will share some great resources for teaching these valuable traits. She promises you will laugh, as well as learn!
