Anyone can become a member of WALDSFE by joining our free email Yahoo Group and we invite you to click here and become a member. We invite, and encourage, you to sign up for the Premium Membership in WALDSFE which will provide you and your family the following advantages:

• Discounted admission to all WALDSFE events and conferences.

• First chance at registration when registration is limited at the events and conferences.

• Access to the "members only" part of the WALDSFE website.

Membership for the 2007-08 school year is only $25 per family or $20 if you are renewing your membership.  Please click on the membership button below to purchase your 2007-2008 membership.  We use paypal so you can be assured that your information is safe.  They handle all the financial information and do not share that information with us.  WALDSFE also believes that your personal information is just that, personal, and will never share, sell or misuse the information you share.   If you would rather pay by mail, please send name, family member names who will take advantage of this membership, address, phone, email address and check to the address below.  You will receive a confirmation email upon registration.

Why collect money now?

Since 2001, WALDSFE has been supported by the conference admissions and the grace of a wonderful donor family.  Our donor family would love to continue to cover the cost of large conferences, website fees, and other fees associated with non-profit agencies but current circumstances dictate otherwise. 

In honesty and humility the family has taken the matter before The WALDSFE Board and The Advisory Board.  The boards recommended the membership be offered an opportunity to voluntarily support the solvency of the organization.  It was suggested that WALDSFE offer two levels of membership.  The first level of membership is for all individuals who join the WALDSFE YAHOO group and that it should remain as before free and voluntary. The second level of membership or Premium Membership would be offered to individuals who elect to pay a voluntary membership fee, similar to other homeschool organizations.  Furthermore, The boards recommended that members with a  WALDSFE Premium Membership should receive discounts to all WALDSFE events and priority enrollment when space at any event is limited.  More frequent hands-on workshops were also recommended by the boards.

It is the Boards' desire to fully disclose the magnitude of the costs.  The annual conference cost is between $4,000 - $5000.  For past conferences to have been self-supporting the entrance fee should have been a minimum of $50.00 per attendee.  

The boards also wishes to make clear and honest communication with regard to intent. Our goal is not to make WALDSFE a profitable charity, we simply hope that it can become self-supporting.  Unless another donor comes forward, the organization needs to generate enough money to cover costs for website, server, conferences, mailbox, attorney/CPA and other sundry things that a non-profit organization needs to run smoothly.

Please note: Conference scholarships will be available for those who qualify and are willing to serve in return for their scholarship.
