Merit Badges are the crux of the Boy Scouts of America Program as well as service. I personally love the merit badge process as it usually take a young man and stretches him just a bit. He has to come in contact with other young men and adults. He has to explore things he might not otherwise pick up and learn about. He has to learn to report and to finish projects that might not be to his strengths and in the process he learns to be accountable.
Please follow proper procedure in doing merit badges and always go with a buddy!
