Thar She Blows

We have been very privileged to live in the Pacific Northwest and able to walk on, visit, touch and see volcanoes up close.  I was a young girl when Mt. St. Helens in southwest Washington blew in 1980 and I have been able to share my story with my children.  On October 1, 2004 Mt. St. Helens "burped" and we were able to spend a few days thinking and studying about what we witnessed via television.  We haven't done a flow blown unit, but these are the recourses we have used over the years as we have studied volcanoes.

Please see the related unit Geology and Washington State.
Please see the General Science page for more books and links.
